1. Senior Research Fellow:
- Postgraduate (M.Sc. / M.Tech) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Agriculture Biotechnology from a recognized university with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years degree having any one of National level examinations conducted by the Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICME, IIT, IISC, IISER etc. with two years research experience (or)
- Master’s degree in Life / Basic Science with 3 years Bachelor’s and 2 years Master’s degree having any one of National level examinations conducted by the Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICME, IIT, IISC, IISER etc. with two years research experience.
- Specialization in Life / Basic Sciences in Plant Molecular Biology / Plant Sciences / Genetics & Plant Breeding / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Botany.
- Desirable Qualification: PhD in relevant subject (Agricultural Biotechnology / Plant Breeding and Genetics with expertise in molecular Biology / Cloning Recombinant Technology / Tissue Culture Strong knowledge in Bioinformatics / SNP Genotyping.
- Working knowledge of Molecular Biology, Plant tissue / Cell Culture, Recombinant DNA technology and basic knowledge of Bioinformatics and published research papers.

Selection Process:-
The written test cum interview for the above position will be conducted in person at ICAR – Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore on 20.06.2024 at 09:00 AM.
How to Apply:-
The candidates should bring biodata (in prescribed format) entire original certificates from SSLC onwards, one set of photocopies of certificates (self-attested), experience certificates and the latest passport size photograph at the time of the written test for verification. Candidates who fail to submit original certificates for verification will not be allowed for written test.
The candidates should hold a Degree Certificate (at least a Provisional certificate) in original in r/o. Graduation / Postgraduation / Professional courses (website results/awaiting for results candidates will not be allowed/considered).
