Sugarcane Breeding Institute Notification Educational Qualification Details.
1. Senior Research Fellow:
- Master’s Degree in relevant subject with 4 years or 5 years of Bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates having postgraduate degrees in Basic Sciences with 3 years of Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of Master’s Degree should have NET qualifications (CSIR-UGC NET/ASRB-NET/GATE or selection through any Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER etc.) and 2 years of research experience.
- Specialization in Agriculture Biotechnology / Plant Breeding and Genetics / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Basic Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Bioinformatics / Botany (Botany with specialization in molecular biology and bioinformatics).
- Desirable: Working knowledge of Molecular Biology, Plant Tissue / Cell Culture, recombinant DNA technology and basic knowledge of bioinformatics, willing to register for PhD programme.

Selection Process:-
The written test cum interview for the above position will be conducted in person at ICAR – Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore on 05.08.2024 at 09:00 AM.
How to Apply:-
The candidates should bring biodata (in prescribed format) entire original certificates from SSLC onwards, one set of photocopies of certificates (self-attested), experience certificates and the latest passport-size photograph at the time of the written test for verification. Candidates who fail to submit original certificates for verification will not be allowed for written test.
The candidates should hold a Degree Certificate (at least a Provisional certificate) in original in r/o. Graduation / Postgraduation / Professional courses (website results/awaiting for results candidates will not be allowed/considered).
