NRAA Recruitment Notification Educational Qualification Details.

1. Theme Expert (IT, Remote Sensing & GIS):

• Master’s degree (IT / Computer Science / Communication / Electronic or Remote Sensing) or MCA from a recognized university or institution.
• 8 to 10 years of experience working in a Senior position in the field of IT, particularly in Web Technology, web service, Management of Web Portals, Remote Sensing, GIS, Monitoring Information Systems, RDBMS: MS-SQL, OS: Windows, Programming Code, Testing and Debugging, Preparing User / Admin Manual, providing end used training/support etc.
• Desirable:
• Possessing a Doctorate degree/additional specialized qualification in the relevant field / MBA from a recognized university or institute;
• Experience in Remote Sensing and GIS application in decision support tools;
• Proficiency in leadership and strategic thinking;
• Knowledge of Climate Change and Watershed Development.

2. Theme Expert (Hydrology / Hydro-geology):

• Master’s Degree in Engineering (Agriculture / Civil / Water Resources / Hydrology / Gen-hydrology) or Master’s Degree in Science (Earth Science / Geology / Hydro-Metrology) from a recognized university or institute;
• 8 to 10 years of experience in the mobilization of communities, capacity building, participatory rural appraisals, surface and groundwater hydrology Natural Resource Management, Watershed Development, Remote Sensing & GIS application for monitoring, interpretation of data and analytical activities.
• Desirable:
• Possessing a Doctorate degree/additional specialized qualification in the relevant field / MBA from a recognized university or institute;
• Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in the relevant sector;
• Persons who have handled Schemes / Projects, particularly in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture, Watershed Management and related fields at a Senior / Managerial level, in India and Abroad;
• Knowledge of Climate Change and adaptation strategies;
• Proficiency in leadership and strategic thinking.

3. Research Associate (Agriculture):

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognized university or institute;
• At least 5 years of experience in Crop Husbandry, Crop Specific Technologies and Horticultural Practices, Management and Mitigation of various climate aberrations and associated risks particularly in rainfed areas.
• Desirable: Higher educational qualification i.e. Master’s degree / PhD / Additional specialized qualification in the relevant field from a recognized university/institute.
• Persons who have experience in Schemes / Projects in the relevant subject.
• Knowledge of Climate Change and adaptation strategies.
