NHPC Recruitment Educational Qualification:-
1. Trainee Engineer (Civil):
- Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Civil Discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- Or
- AMIE (enrolment up to 31.05.2023) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
2. Trainee Engineer (Mechanical):
- Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Mechanical Discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- Or
- AMIE (enrolment up to 31.05.2023) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- Mechanical Discipline includes Mechanical / Production / Thermal / Mechanical and Automation Engineering.
3. Trainee Engineer (Electrical):
- Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Electrical Discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- Electrical Discipline includes Electrical / Electrical, Electronics / Power Systems, and High Voltage / Power Engineering.
- Or
- AMIE (enrolment up to 31.05.2023) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
4. Trainee Officer (Finance):
- CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India / ICWA or CMA from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Passed candidates are eligible to apply.

Fee Details:-
Candidates belonging to the OBC (NCL) category are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.250/- plus applicable taxes and bank charges, processing charges including GST shall be extra and to be nome by the candidate.
The SC/ST/PwBD/ESM category candidates need not pay the registration fee.
Selection Process:-
For Trainee Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical):
Candidates shall be shortlisted out of the candidates registered with NHPC as per merit based on the Normalized marks (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2022 and online Document Verification. Eligible candidates should have qualified and secured a valid score in the corresponding paper of GATE 2022.
For Trainee Officer (Finance): Candidates shall be shortlisted out of the candidates registered with NHPC as per merit based on the CA/CMA score and online Document Verification process. Provisionally selected shall be extended “Offer of Appointment” on a provisional basis. Candidates with a valid score in the CA/CMA exam can apply.
NHPC How to Apply:-
Only candidates who have a valid GATE-2022 score with a GATE Registration Number and candidates who have valid CA/CMA certificates can register online on NHPC’s website www.nhpcindia.com against advertisement number NH/Rectt/03/2023.
