CMRL Chennai Recruitment 2023: The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has released an official notification for filling up the 08 Manager, Project Manager, and Fire Safety Officer Posts. Willing candidates can apply online from 29^th December to 28^th December 2023.

CMRL Chennai Recruitment 2023 Educational Qualification:

1. General Manager (Maintenance):

B.E./B. Tech (Civil) graduate from a government-recognised institute/university approved by AICTE / UGC. The incumbent should have a minimum of 20 years of post-qualification experience in the execution of large infrastructure projects like the construction of a Bus Depot, Multi-storied buildings, and Commercial complex.

Out of the 20 years of experience, a minimum of 5 years of experience shall be exclusively in Infrastructure construction. The incumbent should be familiar with contract management related to large infrastructure projects. Should have knowledge and skill in the management of FIDIC conditions of contract, Quality Control and Assurance system in Civil construction, Safety Implementation and Program Monitoring.

CMRL Qualification:

3. Joint Project Manager (Structure)“

Must be a B.E./B. Tech (Civil) graduate from a government-recognised institute/university approved by AICTE / UGC. Possession of M.E./M. Tech. degree (Civil / Structural Engineering) is preferred.

The candidate should have a minimum post-qualification experience of 15 years in planning and design of Bus Depot, Multi Storied Buildings, and Commercial complexes. Out of the 15 years of experience, a minimum of 08 years of experience in the design of Infrastructure Projects is essential. Hands-on knowledge of various computer applications, relating to the job and well versed with various design software would be preferred.

The candidates should be familiar with the Standard Indian and Euro Codes and Practices followed in India for Buildings, Bridges, Tunnels and UG Stations.

4. Deputy Project Manager (Construction):

B.E./B. Tech (Civil) graduate from a government-recognised institute/university approved by AICTE / UGC. The incumbent should have a minimum of 13 years of post-qualification experience in the execution of large infrastructure projects like the construction of Bus Depot, Multi Storied Buildings, and Commercial complexes.

Out of the 13 years of experience, a minimum of 05 years of experience shall be exclusively in the Infrastructure Projects. The incumbent should be familiar with contract management related to large infrastructure projects. Should have knowledge and skill in the management of FIDIC conditions of contract, Quality Control and Assurance system in civil construction, Safety Implementation and Program Monitoring.

Work Experience in underground structures / Multimodal facility complex infrastructure will be an added advantage.

CMRL Qualifications:

5. Deputy Project Manager (Architect):

Must be a B.Arch graduate from a government-recognised institute/university approved by AICTE / UGC. The incumbent should have a minimum of 13 years of post-qualification experience in designing architecture, interior and landscape. Knowledge of building codes and standards applicable locally and internationally such as NBC, NFPA, IBC etc.

Experience in management and coordination with external consultants, site teams, and various departments. Should possess knowledge of software viz. Auto CAD, Revit BIM, BIM 360, Navisworks, Microsoft Office and reviewing itemized BOQ etc. Work experience in underground structures / Multimodal facility complex infrastructure will be an added advantage.

6. Deputy Manager (Transport Planning):

M.E. / M. Tech. (Transportation Planning / Transporation Engineering / Traffic Engineering / Urban Engineering) from a government-recognised institute/university approved by AICTE / UGC. The candidate should have a minimum post-qualification experience of 4 years in the execution of large Transportation infrastructure projects and also be involved in city-level Transportation studies such as CCTS, CMP, Feasibility, DPR, etc.

7. Fire Safety Officer / Consultant (Fire Safety):

Must be a Graduate from a government-recognised institute/university approved by AICTE / UGC. A Diploma / Advance Diploma / Degree shall be from a recognized institute of repute and these qualifications are preferred from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.

The incumbent for the post of Fire Safety Officer should possess a minimum of 13 years of post-qualification experience in the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Department (TNFRS) or other similar departments or any large reputed organizations.

Selection Process:
